About Me:
My name is Laura Bordelon. It is my first year at JI Barron, but it is my 12th year teaching. Science is absolutely my favorite subject, and I can't wait to share that love with your student!
I will also be attaching most homework assignments and project descriptions in the homework calender. There should be no excuses for assignments not being complete. Points will be taken off for each day an assignment is late. With the exception of daily review/studying, I do not expect to assign much homework in this class unless classwork is not completed during the school day. That being said, please trust your student's planner if it differs from what homework is posted on the website. Sometimes plans must be adjusted and assignments are completed in class or have to be pushed to the next day.
We will be doing a lot of hands on activities/experiments, so I may be asking for some donations throughout the year. I appreciate you!!
I will give test grades, occasional quiz grades, experiment/project grades, and homework/classwork grades. I will also be checking science binders and lab books periodically for a grade. Students should always be ready for a binder/notebook check. Always produce QUALITY work.
