Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Paige-Marie S. Price.  I was born in Missoula, Montana. My dad, Dr.  Bruce M. Whitehead is a world-renowned author and principal who started his career as a 4th grade history teacher.  My mother began her career as a 4th grade teacher but then changed to Kindergarten where she taught for an additional 28 years.

I have been working in education since I was 15, starting by volunteering at a local daycare and later working there until I graduated from college.  I got my BA in Elementary Education from the University of Montana. While in college I became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. There, I took on many leadership roles to include working on the Panhellenic Council.  I was fortunate enough to get a teaching job right out of college. In a small town outside of Missoula, MT I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades over a six year period. At this time I also received a Masters in Science Education from Montana State University.  I ended up leaving this teaching position due to my husband joining the active Army and receiving an assignment in Europe.

My husband, Major Cole Price, began in the military as a scout in the Montana National Guard.  After a tour in Iraq he got out and began working at Best Buy. After becoming frustrated with his job he chose to go back to school and get a Master in Business and join the active Army as a logistion.  Cole is currently in Alabama attending Air Command College for major school. We will join up with him next summer at our next duty location, which is undetermined as of right now.

My husband and I have two children. Lilliana is a quiet-clever 6th grader who loves creating things on Roblox and drawing.  Cole is a loud-whitty 4th grader who loves to watch gaming YouTube videos and anything outdoorsy such as archery, playing in the woods, and finding animals. We also have two huskies. Our white and grey, blue-eyed husky Winter is nicknamed “Gorda” because she is huge and loves to eat.  She loves to get into the accidently left-opened pantry and eat loaves of bread, bags of buns, or tortillas. The other husky has been deemed by several vets as a midget and is black and tan. Ella thinks she is a cat and loves to perch on furniture, fences, and hide in closets and under beds.

Outside of school I enjoy binge watching TV series, reading up on education documents related to teaching, science, and history, as well as taking trips.  Before leaving Montana I loved hiking, fishing (all types), riding horses, and riding my bike around town and along the river. When I feel like treating myself, I enjoy Dr. Pepper, Coke, and Mountain Dew, licorice, and chips of any kind.

Lastly, I look forward to teaching your child this year.  I have been preparing all summer different ways to make my classroom even better.  Students will get lots of hands-on activities and modeled instruction this year. Students will be challenged greatly and will learn a ton this year.
