Welcome to Ms. Kayla's 3rd Grade ELA Class!
Expectations:
The jump from 2nd to 3rd is a big one! Up until now, your child has been learning to read. In 3rd grade, they'll read to learn and be engaged in reading comprehension. They will also be taking LEAP 360 throughout the year to track growth. With your help, I know we can achieve our goals.
Classwork:
- Everything we are working on will be kept in your child's ELA binder. Its important that you do not clean it out. We have graded binder checks.
Homework:
Each Monday your child will receive a weekly homework sheet. It will have announcements and any homework for the week. Expect about 2 nights of homework.
