Dear Friends,

Welcome to first grade!  I am THRILLED to be your teacher!  It is going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures.

I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation.  I am looking forward to hearing about all of the exciting things you have done.  Please bring along some favorite summer photos on the first day so that we can share our memories together.

I hope you are just as excited as I am because first grade has some very special surprises in store for you.  We will be reading many unforgettable books, writing stories and poems, and playing some fun math games. We will be participating in many interesting and exciting activities too.

You will have some important responsibilities to take care of before our first day together.  You will need a backpack and a lunchbox along with the items listed below. You will also need to bring a healthy snack to help you stay fresh and alert throughout the day.

I am looking forward to meeting you.  Be sure to bring your smiling face to room 107 located on Trustworthy Trail Hallway for our Open House on Wednesday, September 4th from 2-3. We will start our year of fun and learning on Thursday, September 5th for the first day of school. Remember this is a full day of school.  Our school day is from 8:45-3:15.
