Meet the Teacher
My name is Kim Fluker and I am the Business Teacher at Independence High Magnet School for Tangipahoa Parish Schools. My purpose is to give students an opportunity to learn valuable computer skills that can be used to start their own business or work towards the countless business opportunities with companies across the nation in virtually any industry. Business careers offer unlimited income potential, professional work environments, and benefits that will help students meet their career and personal goals. Some of these careers may include: business administration, management, sales, and marketing to name a few. The business industry is the highest paying, with nearly half of all jobs in management and professional occupations. For those students who have always wanted to be their own boss, this is the pathway to consider.
Indy High Business Program offers several opportunities to take student's experience to the next level, including Microsoft Certifications, Adobe Certifications and Certified Internet Webmaster to name a few.
