Overview for the year: 

 

Notes for 4th and 5th grade:

 

Homework is very important and not an option. If I give homework the student will be required to show me at least an attempt. If students don’t do homework that day it WILL affect their participation grade. HOMEWORK IS NOT AN OPTION. Also, students can prepare and practice using zearn pr prodidgy. 

 

5th Grade

 

Our goal in math is to have students 100% proficient in multiplication facts. The students will be given a set of math facts on Monday and be tested on Friday.

 

Students will have math module homework at least twice a week. This can vary according to classwork.

 

Math test will be after we finish a topic in math, the topic sizes also vary. The children will know 3-4 days ahead of time to allow them time to study.

 

 

 

5th Grade Social Studies- We will rarely have homework with the exception of studying for a test. We do lots of hands on activities using the google chrome books to research in social studies. We have many in class projects.  Students will be given a study guide on Mondays for social studies vocabulary and test material.
