Unmanned Aircraft Systems aka The Drones Class
In January of 2017, Walker High School Principal Jason St Pierre called me into his office stating a drone program would be at Walker High School and “you” are going to teach it! In June 2017, I went north to Alaska to attend the Advanced Aerial Education curriculum training course. Intimidated at first due to the “teach an old dog new trick” theory, I soon settled into the training. The training was excellent and the AAE staff was brilliant! The school year (2017-18) marked the initial Drone class at Walker High School. As we begin our sixth year, a bright future is in store for the program. The school has plans to open on campus #gameofdronesWHS retail and repair drone shop. I, R. Steve Johnson, hold a Commercial sUAS Remote Pilot’s Certificate and an Advanced Aerial Education Certified Pilot and Instructor Certification. I look forward to facilitating this training class.
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines!!

Many organizations rely on these systems for product design. Autodesk Inventor is specifically helpful for product design, tooling creation, mechanical design, and product simulation. This software enables users to construct accurate 3D models to aid in simulation and visualization before building products.
This course is designed to prepare to sucessfully pass the certification test for AutoDesk Inventor CAD software.
IMPORTANT GRADING INFORMATION
Walker High School has a "weighted" grading schedule. There are 4 areas of grading that occur every week. Each carries a different "weight" as far as the students grade. The 4 areas are (1) Participation - 10% (2) Assess for Accuracy - 35% (3) Major Assessment - 40% (4) End of Semster - 15%
