About Me
My name is Mrs. Keila Cook and this is the 3rd year I have had the honor and privilege of teaching, learning, and growing with the scholars of Lake Pontchartrain Elementary School. The past few years I have been teaching 6th and 7th grade Science,which I love, however, history and Social Studies in general is one of my passions, so I am very excited about teaching 7th grade Science and equally confident that we are going to have a fantastic year together and make great academic progress.
Throughout my 15+ years in education I have taught various grade levels, locations, and content areas (including Texas History!). I have a love for words, language, history and travel and consider museums one of my "happy places". Born and raised in New Orleans, I, along with my husband, daughter and son, currently reside in St. John Parish. As such, I have a vested interest in our community and am dedicated to its' maturity and development.
