Mrs. Kelly Citrone
Welcome to my classroom website. I am a mom of three children, a lover of food, dogs, theater, shopping and crafting. I have been teaching English for more than 20 years here at Clayton High School. I am a very passionate and enthusiastic teacher who loves literature and I will try to encourage my students to find an interest and relate their lives to the stories we read throughout the year. As a teacher of mostly 12th grade students, I take time to encourage them to set goals and plan ahead for the future. We utilize the literature as a learning tool to not only understand the major concepts, but to build on themes that are relevant today. My hope for all my students is that no matter where they decide to go after high school, I will have provided them all the opportunities necessary to be college ready with the skills and knowledge they need in order to be successful. I am a dedicated and involved member of the Clayton community who truly loves being an educator and has so much Clipper Pride. Nothing makes me more proud than seeing our students succeed and I have seen it firsthand.
