Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome Back to LAKE FOREST CHARTER SCHOOL for the 2019-2020 school year! I am looking forward to another exciting and productive school year. We are very proud of our  LEAP scores this year! We are equally proud of the hard work that our students, teachers and parents put in last year to earn these scores.  We still have some work to do and we will work just as hard this school year. As in the past, our faculty and staff will continue to create a positive culture of learning where all students can experience academic, social & emotional success.

I am the Compliance Coordinator for LFC working to ensure that students receiving Special Education, Response to Intervention (RTI), and 504 services are effectively implemented. I am excited about this opportunity.

We encourage all children to take PRIDE and embrace our commitment to being Prepared, Reflective, Innovative, Data-driven and Engaged in ensuring their success. We value your input and look forward to a quality home-school collaborative relationship. Through our commitment to our students, we know and believe that this will be another special year of growth, development, and achievement for your child.

I would like to encourage you to make a special effort to join with our faculty & staff at school activities establishing strong foundations and to improve the channels of communication between Lake Forest Charter and your home. “When a community achieves, we all achieve!” If I can be of assistance please feel free to call me at 504-286-7140 or email me at adowden@lakeforestcharter.org. We are always striving for ways to be the best that we can be.
