Palmer Band Blog



Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the GMEA District XII Honor Band/All State Auditions.  We are very proud of all of you! 


The following students were selected for District XII Honor Band Event: 

Daniel Johnson, Bassoon

Nanako Kimura, Clarinet

Kyle Binns, Trumpet

Ian Lilly, Trombone

Emanuel Olaganju, Trombone

Will Chastain, Tuba

Abbi Mikel, Percussion

Kayli Stewart, Percussion


In addition, Kyle Binns, Ian Lilly, Emanuel Olaganju, Will Chastain and Abbi Mikel will progress to the second round of all state auditions in January!  Good luck to all of you.



The 7-2 and 8-2 Band concert is scheduled for Tuesday, December 11th in the Palmer Middle School Auditorium at 7:00pm.  See the attached memo for information.

Fundraiser Arrival Tomorrow, November 14th- Pick up in theatre from 1:30-7:00pm


6th Grade, 7-1 and 8-1 Band Concert has been moved to Palmer Middle School on Thursday, November 15th.  Check your child's memo for details.




10-31-2018  Fundraiser Arrival


The Fundraiser Arrival has been pushed back to the second week in November.  It will arrive at Palmer on Wednesday, November 14th.  You may pick up your order between 1:30-7:00pm.  The items are all frozen, so they will need to be picked up and possibly delivered immediately.

10-17-2018  The 8-2 Band and Ensembles have a concert on Monday, October 29th@ 7pm in the Palmer MS auditorium.  Please ask your child about the informational memo.

North Cobb HS 8th Grade Night Information will be coming home with students today.  It is due Tomorrow!  Please get it turned around to received extra credit for attending!

Handouts from the Orlando parent meeting on September 11th can be found on the 8th grade pages on this blog or there are hard copies available through the directors that students can bring home.

8th grade parents:  The Orlando Trip meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 11th at 7pm in the Palmer MS auditorium.





The Band Fundraiser will be kicking off this Thursday, September 6th during each class period.  We will be sending home information regarding the purpose of the funds that are being raised.  If you have any questions, please email Ms. Bulock





7th & 8th Grade Band Parent Meeting is TONIGHT at 7:00pm in the Palmer Middle School Auditorium.




The 7th & 8th Grade Band Parent Meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, August 20, 2018 at 7:00pm in the Palmer MS Auditorium. 



Some of our new 6th grade students need to schedule a test drive.  Please look at the 6th grade page on this blog for more information.





Welcome back!  We are excited about the great school year ahead.  This year the main page of the blog will provide information that is for all three grade levels - 6th, 7th & 8th grade.  We have added new pages to the blog that are specific to each grade level/class where we will post information that is specific for each class.  


This year we will also be adding the band calendar dates to the calendar in the events section of the blog. The best way to communicate with both Ms. Bulock and Mr. Dietrich is still through email!  We are glad you are hear and are looking forward to a fantastic year!!
