We have again partnered with Focus Foods, to provide FREE boxed meals to individuals 18 years or younger during the upcoming Spring Break holiday. All meals are prepared and distributed by Focus Foods, but we would appreciate your assistance in sharing this opportunity with our LPPS families through your social media accounts, as well as, School Messenger. You may share our current Facebook post from @LPPSSFS, which includes all necessary information and the registration link. Please continue to share this information with your parents from now until the holiday.
We have two distribution dates during the Spring Break holiday, but parents only have to complete the registration one time. Each distribution will provide a meal box that includes 5 breakfast, 5 lunches, 5 snacks and 5 supper meals per child. Meals will be a combination of shelf-stable and pre-packed, heat and serve meals. This service is available to anyone 18 years and younger, regardless if they are a LPPS student, but registration is required.
Meal box distribution is scheduled for Friday, April 2nd and Wednesday, April 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (closed 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.) at the following distribution sites:
Denham Springs STEM Center
Walker High (Burgess side).
The service is free, but registration is required. The link for families to register is: https://focusfoods.formstack.com/forms/livingston_meal_box
Don't forget every Friday is SPIRIT SHIRT FRIDAY.
The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires that all schools conduct detailed inspections to identify all asbestos containing building materials that may be present in the school environment. AHERA requires the inspection results and the associated Asbestos Management Plan be submitted to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). A copy of the Asbestos Management Plan must be available and maintained at the administrative office for review by the public.
Frost Elementary maintains a proactive asbestos awareness program. Periodic surveillances (every six months) are performed by a qualified individual to assess the condition of the remaining asbestos containing building materials (ACBM). All of this information is updated in the Management Plan and available for review.
This letter of notification is an annual requirement to the public. If there are any questions, please contact the Designated Person, Danita Duffy, at 225-686-4212 for more information or assistance.
