About the teacher

My name is Mrs. Nicholson. This is my seventh year teaching at Eisenhower (2024-2025). I teach with Mrs. Lewandoski. We are the resource classroom - which means we co-teach together during Homeroom, Science/Social Studies. I pull students separately for Reading/Math. We love getting to work with your children! I have my BA from Wagner College in Psychology and I received my MA in Special Education/Education from Georgian Court University. I have worked in other districts and have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, Fourth and Fifth grade! I am so excited to add Third grade to that list.

Third Grade is so much fun but it is also hard work. Here are some things you can continue to work on with your child:

  • adding and subtracting fluently
  • memorizing multiplication facts
  • paragraph writing
  • using RACE to answer questions
  • using the CUBES strategy when answering math word problems
  • utilizing all on-line programs the district has to offer
