Chorus Rehearsals/Performances

 All rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays in the HTHS Auditorium from 3:15-4:00pm
Please email me all conflicts before the season begins, if there is an emergency conflict please email me at least 24 hours before at smarr@htsd.us

[Attendance Policy:
Your child should attend all scheduled rehearsals, since chorus members do not receive lessons throughout the school day, and arrive prepared for said rehearsals with their iPad charged.
 
Please email me at least 24 hours before a rehearsal if your child must miss a practice so I can mark it as excused.
Your child will not have their name printed in the program if he/she has more than three "unexcused" absences from rehearsals.
 
If your child has a regularly scheduled conflict on Wednesdays after school, please email me so we can discuss a personal plan! smarr@htsd.us]
 
 
[Food/Allergy Policy:
Students able to bring snacks to chorus rehearsals as long as they eat it before we start singing (around 3:20) and they make sure to clean-up afterwards. Some students bring snacks that were packed from home, some eat something saved over from lunch or I've seen some students bring snacks that were sold on the way out of school (pretzel sales etc.). It is okay to bring snacks, just be mindful that there are students who participate in chorus who have severe allergies to some foods, particularly to peanuts and any products that contain peanuts. 
 
Due to this, we have designated a peanut-free area in the first two rows of our rehearsal space at the high school auditorium. Our chorus aide and myself will be checking snacks of those students who decide to sit in the peanut-free area just to be sure.
 
Please speak to your child about the severity of some food allergies, and if they are eating on the way to the high school, they are mindful of what is in their snack and they are not sharing food with others.]
