Mr. Jeff Holman attended Haddonfield Memorial High School, where he participated in cross country and basketball, captained the tennis team, served as the news editor of the school newspaper and sports editor of the yearbook, and held the positions of Latin Club Consul, National Honor Society President, and Student Council Treasurer.  Upon his graduation from HMHS, he received the Childrey Award in recognition of his academic accomplishments, leadership, and involvement in school activities.  Subsequently, he matriculated at Princeton University, involving himself in the university’s tennis and teacher-preparation programs.  At Princeton he attained membership in Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with High Honors with an AB degree in Classics.

After graduating from Princeton, Mr. Holman joined Haddonfield Memorial High School’s faculty as an English teacher.  He soon became the head coach of the girls’ and boys’ varsity tennis teams and an assistant coach in the girls’ basketball program.  While still teaching English and coaching throughout the school year, he embarked on a graduate program at Temple University and earned a master’s degree in Psychoeducational Processes from the College of Education.  He later completed additional graduate coursework at Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) to become a certified school counselor.

Mr. Holman initially obtained a counseling position at Haddonfield Middle School and worked at that school for six years before transferring to Haddonfield Memorial High School’s Counseling Department.  His current duties in the Counseling Department include writing articles on counseling-related topics for each week’s HMHS News, coordinating the school’s Peer Mentors Program, collaborating with administrators to develop the school’s master schedule, and representing the Counseling Department on the Foundation for Educational Opportunity scholarship committee.  In addition, Mr. Holman continues to coach Haddonfield’s girls’ and boys’ tennis teams and serves as president of the South Jersey Tennis Coaches Association (for more information on his coaching career, see https://haddonfieldathletics.org/main/teamcoaches/id/3589651/seasonId/4486249).  He also strives to maintain a highly visible presence at the school by operating the clock at varsity basketball games and wrestling matches and regularly chaperoning productions of the HMHS Drama Club.  In 2017 he was named the Camden County School Counselors Association Counselor of the Year.
