Welcome to our classroom website!

Kindergarten is a wondrous and important time. Students are adjusting to a more formal academic setting and building the foundation for their future academic and social success.

Remember to talk to your child each day about what he or she did at school and what was the best part.  Your child needs to know school is important to you; it helps it feel important tothem.

Please feel free to email us with any questions you have about Room 005.  You are a part of our classroom community.

Thank you for all of your support.

                                                   Our Role as Teachers

As a primary influence on young children, I will model the behavior I want to see in the students.  Through me, students will learn to love learning, forgive themselves for mistakes, treat others with respect, and think through ideas without giving up.

                                                         Student’s Role as a Learner

Students should be explorers and be encouraged to do so.  Tables have a place in the classroom, but they shouldn't be the only place students learn and they shouldn't only have books on them!  Games, experiments, manipulatives, and art supplies should also grace tables with their presence :). The classroom environment and the learning that takes place in it, should reflect students' growing beliefs, skills, and intersts. As students work to meet the expectations set by learning standards and themselves, we use carefully considered procedures to show them how to behave in an academic setting. This helps them get the most out of the school day and teaches them how to show consideration towards their fellow classmates...while having a lot of fun!
