Child Development 3

We will be directly involved with the students in the preschool classroom. Students are in groups rotating throughout the room.  Each group has its distinct responsibilities such as lesson planning, teaching, prepping for the next day of teaching, observing students and documentation, and completing required assignments furthering their knowledge of child development.

Students will also be at Swift and Slaybaugh Schools once a week for job shadow (TBD based on CDC and New Jersey DOH recommendations).  Child Development III also introduces the student to building a portfolio, planning and organizing field trips, completing assessments, organizing and maintaining a classroom, and developing an understanding of NJ Preschool Standards.
