Grading System: The following scale will be used when calculating grades:

 

 ~50% - Summative (Tests, Projects, Papers, and Unit Assessments)

Projects

 

        *Papers and projects must be turned in on the assigned due date. Any late assignment will only be accepted one day late and will lose up to half credit.

 

~20% - Formative (Quizzes)

      Open-ended responses

      Rough drafts

      Kahoot/Quizlet

 

         *Quizzes may be unannounced

 

~30% - Classwork/Homework/Participation

Daily assignments

Analogies

Grammar

Sentence corrections

Behavior/Tardiness/Preparedness

 

*Homework Basics

- Homework must be complete to receive credit.

- Homework must be turned in at the beginning of class

- If absent you have the number of days your absence was excused.

 (Two days absent=two days to make up assignment)

- If work was assigned before you were absent, it is due upon your return.

- If suspended you are responsible for missed assignments.
