My name is Samantha Killeen and I am the School Psychologist and Case Manager for the Child Study Team at Hopewell Crest School. As the School Psychologist on the Child Study Team, I complete the psychological evaluations to help determine eligibility for special education services. I also conduct individual and group school-based counseling, case manage students with Individual Education Plans, assist with high school transition planning, and aid in crisis intervention.
I truly enjoy my job and am honored to work at Hopewell Crest School. I love getting to know all of our teachers, staff and students, each and every day. What is a School Psychologist??
A School Psychologist is a qualified individual who works in the school to aid and support individuals, classrooms and staff members. We work either directly or indirectly with students to help them succeed, whether it be academically, emotionally, or behaviorally. We work collaboratively with staff, parents, and students to help the children flourish in their learning environment.
