Hello and welcome! This year will continue your child's educational journey towards the graduating class of 2029.  I am so thrilled to be your child’s teacher! It's going to be an amazing year full of learning, laughter, exciting challenges, adventures, and friendships. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us and to get to know all of my students but first I want to tell you a few things about me.

I am originally from Minnesota and graduated in 2006 with a Masters of Science Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.  After getting married, having two children and moving to Florida to escape the winters, I began working with children of all ages both in their homes and at school as a counselor.  Our family added our third child in 2012, and in 2014 I joined Lee County Schools at Gateway Elementary and Tortuga Elementary as a Behavior Specialist.  I am so thrilled to have been part of the team here at Gateway Elementary for my fourth year and am excited to share my passion for teaching and leading young children to become our future leaders!

Some things to remember:

Please fill out 1 A.R. Bookmark for EVERY A.R. test your child will take. Tests can not be taken unless there is a correctly filled out bookmark. If you have any questions about this, please contact me!

Please remember to adhere to the school dress code - NO sandals (opened toe) or flip flops are allowed.

Beginning 2nd Quarter, students will not be allowed to return to the room after dismissal to retrieve items that were left. Students are reminded several times at the end of the day to pack up all items. Students must be responsible and pay attention during end of day procedures.
