We hosted our annual Career Fair, finally back in person! We had theme days leading up to the big day, encouraging students to begin thinking about career readiness. On Career Day, community members and parents lined the gym and set up tables to display their profession. We hosted police officers, firefighter, EMTs, nurses, chefs, FAA, ACUA, Wetlands Institute, newspaper editors, yoga instructors, bank managers, and attorneys, to name a few. The students had a blast and loved learning about careers they were interested in, as well as careers they may have never thought about. Our community and parent volunteers raved about our students and enjoyed their time with us. Thanks to all that participated and helped the day run smoothly, our Career Fair was a huge success!

Miller was proud to participate in the Great Kindness Challenge! It was a week of theme days, compliments, and showering each other with kind words. Students were challenged to create videos with their classmates to show the school what kindness means to them. Videos were played during lunches for all to see! Congratulations to Ms. Li's, Ms. Edwards', and Ms. Brennan's classes who came in first place with their video submissions!

Happy Fall Party Day! There's been "a bunch of hocus pocus!" around here :)

The past two weeks have been busy here at Miller School! The week of October 17th was School Safety Week. Students listened to announcements over the loudspeaker that promoted safety in our school. They also received wristbands promoting a drug-free and bully-free life. The week of October 24th was Red Ribbon Week. Students participated in themed dress up days and also received temporary tattoos encouraging our students to be brave and stay drug-free! We loved seeing our students dress up and be a part of Red Ribbon's Week important mission!

Congratulations to our 2022-2023 Greeter Leaders! Greeter Leaders is a program here at Miller School where our existing Miller students assist new students with their transition upon entering our school. These students were selected by their teachers for the positive characteristics they have already shown in the classroom. This week, we held our training where students received their official Greeter Leader badges and learned about important Greeter Leader skills. Thank you to our Greeter Leaders for their efforts in making our school a welcoming place!

At Miller School, our students are kind to the core!" This week, our school celebrated The Week of Respect. In recognition of the Week of Respect, students pledged to be kind and respectful in their classrooms. Each classroom had the opportunity to decorate an apple with their pledge. We were excited to hang up all of the apples in both of the fourth and fifth grade offices for all to see!

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! Mrs. Rosetti, Mrs. Commander, and Mrs. Bruzzese (left to right) are excited to meet you!
