STEAM Lab Activities

Kindergarten

Kindergarten has been coming in weekly. We have been working

with Legos, snap blocks, clay, and tangrams. I have a December challenge in mind for them which will involve building

a wheel outof toothpicks and gumdrops!

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

First Grade

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

Second Grade

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

Third Grade

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

Fourth Grade

Fourth grade students had to work through the Spaghetti Tower Challenge and plan the tallest tower using spaghetti and marshmallows. In the next few weeks, I have a Hexbug maze challenge planned for them, and I know they will have a blast with it! Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

Fifth Grade

The Egg Drop was a great success, and this year the STEAM lab was available for the students to go shopping for their materials.

Shellmart and Yolks 5th Ave had the students wondering if a "name" brand was a better buy. The students worked with money, wrote out checks, and planned for the best contraption to deliver their

egg safely back down to Earth.

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

Sixth Grade

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

Seventh Grade

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.

Eighth Grade

Ask your child to explain what they have been doing.
