*ALWAYS have a Chapter Book on hand to read in class (2 books are even better - one for your backpack and one for your desk).

*ALWAYS come to school prepared and organized! 

*ALWAYS try your best and have a positive attitude! 

 

PARENTS

"The days are long, but the years are short." 

*Please try to provide 1-2 Chapter Books. I do have a class library, & we will be going to the library to borrow books, but it's always a great idea for students to have their own books.

*I will be giving your child an Language Arts Literacy (LAL) folder, a Social Studies folder, and a composition notebook (they'll be using this notebook for their Writer's Notebook)....but they are welcome to bring their own materials. 

*The students will be given a UES folder from the PTO - they can use this folder for their Homeroom/Homework folder.

*Please: No Smencils, "Trappers" or other large binders. They take up a lot of room in the desks. Thank you!

*In my classroom, I have extra supplies, including the following: pencils, folders, composition books, highlighters, scissors, gluesticks, crayons; but, your child is welcome to bring their own supplies. Please keep these supplies to a minimum, as desks tend to get crowded pretty easily.
