Welcome to Fifth Grade!
This will be an exciting year for your fifth grader! This is the year that your child will be expected to demonstrate independence and responsibility for his/her learning and actions.
In the classroom, your child will be required to demonstrate their knowledge and learning independently after practicing the skills with the teacher in small groups and hands on lessons. It is here that they will learn to use time wisely to complete assigned work yet take the time to be proud of the finished product.
Behavior and character education will also be a major aspect of fifth grade. Your child will participate in a variety of behavior activities that will help to influence the choices that he/she makes both in and out of school. Your child will be held
