Hello Parents & Students!
My name is Ms. Clark (Christine Clark) and I teach 5th grade art at the SUES. In fifth grade art, we create fun art projects while we practice art skills and try new techniques. Art class is every other day for 40 minutes (refer to specials "day A, day B" schedule emailed home for each month). We will be completing one project about every other week.
A general rubric for the art lessons will be used to grade your child's artwork. While following directions is very important in order to complete successful works of art, artisitc choice and creativity should also inspire your child to create meaningful, beautiful, and unique projects. This combination fosters a love for art but also develops and reinfornces self confidence, creative thinking, and problem solving skills.
