I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University. I have since gone on and attained a Special Education Certification from Stockton and Middle School ELA Certification. Most recently, I completed the a 2 year, 4 level Orton Gillingham multi-sensory reading instructor certification through Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am on track to complete my master's degree in Special Education in May of 2019.
Prior to teaching in Margate, I have worked in Somers Point and West Philadelphia. My previous classroom experiences include self contained classrooms, as well classroom where I looped with my students for 4th and 5th grades. I have also worked with children in the early intervention sector as a behavior therapist. I have a passion for teaching and look forward each day to working with students with all different styles of learning!
My family settled in New Jersey after my husband served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. I grew up in Cape May County and I can't be too far from the beach! We have two boys, ages 14 and 11. We love to be outdoors and are active in our community. I love any form of exercise and have tried to instill that same love in my children.
