¡Saludos! Greetings! My name is Señora Martone and I am honored to be your child’s Spanish teacher this year. Learning a second language is an exciting opportunity that is very useful in today’s diverse world. My goals for this year are to help your child develop vocabulary of key phrases in the Spanish language and to help him or her appreciate cultural differences between our culture and those of Spanish-speaking countries around the world. Students will be engaged in hands-on activities, cooperative learning as well as different communicative exercises. They will also be learning through songs, dancing and different crafts.

 

Updated information and activities can be found on Google Classroom.  Students can access Google classroom at www.classroom.google.com .  From there, they sign in using their ID number ([email protected]) and password studentMMDD (the 2 digit month and 2 digit date of their birthday).  Students use this same information to login to chromebooks at school. Please email me with any questions.

 

 Your child will receive Spanish instruction once a week for the entire year. In order to supplement the work we do in class, students are strongly encouraged to study the vocabulary words at home. With both class instruction and your support, I anticipate this to be a highly successful year. Please do not hesitate contacting me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year.
