Lessons are offered on the following instruments for 4th and 5th grade students:
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass.
Fourth and Fifth Grade students participating in instrumental music will receive a grade each marking period. Grades are calculated on a weekly basis for each lesson. The grades will be based on: turning in digital assignments, showing improvement on assigned playing, as well as tone quality, proper technique, correct tempo, note reading and rhythmic accuracy. Students will also fill out a weekly practice survey to reflect on their own playing, and help establish goals for practice. All grades are based on a 10 point system.
