Mrs. Licata’s 2019-2020 Welcome Letter
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Mrs. Megan Licata and I will be your teacher this year. I hope you are having a wonderful summer! I cannot wait to hear all about it! I was busy this summer traveling with my husband to California and Hawaii. When I wasn’t traveling, I was reading books, riding my bike, swimming, and playing with my niece and nephews.
During fourth grade, we will be learning many exciting things! In reading, you will travel to far off places and meet different characters. We will write different types of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction pieces. In math, we will learn about geometry, fractions, decimals, and measurement. You will learn about Energy, Waves, Earth, and Structure and Function in Science. We will celebrate New Jersey in Social Studies by studying Lenape, Colonization, the events leading up to The Revolutionary War, and much more.
Our Open House will be held on Wednesday, September 4th from 2:00-3:00pm. You will find me upstairs eagerly awaiting your arrival in room 210! You will get to visit our Hawaiian themed classroom, see where you sit, and meet me! I cannot wait to begin our wonderful year together! We are going to make so many memories.
I look forward to seeing your smiling faces in September!
