Welcome to CP Physics!

CP Physics is the study of our natural world, the scientific theories that explain natural phenomena, and the scientific laws that govern our everyday lives. In this course we will study a range of topics in the feild of Physics with particualar emphasis on physics concepts. Below is a list of topics that will be discussed throughout the year:

  • Scientific Method
  • Motion, Speed, and Acceleration
  • Projectile Motion
  • Forces
  • Momentum
  • Electricity
  • Magnetism
  • Light
  • Waves and Sound
  • Mirrors and Lenses
  • Simple Mechanics

Through out the year students will engage in a number of education activities such as labs, presentations, groupwork, research and peer review of past and present scientific articles. By the end of the course students will have developed critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, communication skills, reasearch skills, analysis skills, and problem solving skills that can be used in their future careers and everyday lives.
