ESE Resource Teacher K-2
I have been teaching for almost ten years. I have done everything from teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder to being a Reading Coach to teaching Kindergarten. Through it all, I have learned my heart is in Exceptional Student Education. This is my first year as a Resource Teacher working with students in Kindergarten through Second Grade and I couldn't be happier! I love doing the small group work and fostering those relationships, helping students master something that once seemed a lofty goal, and giving my students' general education teachers the reassurance that I am always there to help them provide the best education.
The links to the left provide some online games in Reading/ELA and Math. Some of them the students are familiar with, and others are new ones to explore together. Computers always seem to make learning more fun!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time kayaking, taking walks through nature, and traveling. But, my favorite thing to do is spend time with our baby, who just turned one! Much like my new position this year, we couldn't be happier as Mama and Daddy!
Feel free to contact me via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or after 2:30 via phone at 239-303-3003. I would love an opportunity to meet with you to discuss ways we can work with your child's general education teacher to provide the best school year yet! I look forward to working with your child this year!
