COVID-19 School Closure Activities  

 

 

Update 4/5/2020: Weekly Zoom sessions will be starting for students this week. Dr. Bush has posted the official schedule of sessions on our JS Clark Facebook page. My sessions will be on Tuesdays at 9:00AM for 30 minutes. Students should visit Google Classroom to get the log in information for the ZOOM meeting.

Update 3/19/2020: Students are now allowed to take AR quizzes from home. Please stick to the limit of 2 tests per day. Make sure that all books are in the student's ZPD range. Students should strive to make a 90% or higher.

Dear 5th Grade Students, Parents/Guardians,

 

Your safety is of the utmost importance at this time.  Please be sure to stay inside as much as possible, and wash, wash, wash your hands!

 

While school is out, I will provide enrichment activities that your students can complete. Below is a link to the materials provided by Monroe City School District. Students should work on these materials for about 30 to 45 minutes daily.

My students should also continue reading for at least 30 minutes each day! I will expect AR quizzes to be taken when we return :)

   +There will be a few different text and passage sets for students to complete.

   +Lessons will be assigned in multiple areas. Remember you should score 80% or higher.

   +There are still read alouds posted on our classroom. You may also view the "Narnia" movie as    well. I will also be posting a link so that each of you can journal about your experience throughout     the school closure.

   +There will be lessons assigned to you for grammar practice.
