All About Me!
My name is Rachael Mas and the 2014-2015 school year is my seventh year working for the Lee County School District. Before moving to Lehigh Acres, I lived in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, where I was raised. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2011 from Edison State College, in Florida. After graduating, I went on to teach at Lehigh Elementary, and Ive been here ever since. Prior to graduating and coming to Lehigh Elementary I was an ESOL paraprofessional at Varsity Lakes Middle School.
I worked very closely with teachers to help students who were monolingual. Since working at a middle school my primary goal is to prepare your child for success in the middle grades. I want to build their confidence and establish a sense of readiness as graduation will be here before you know it. I am also an Army Reservist. I have been in the Military since 2003 and one weeked out of each month, plus two weeks in the summer I train and perform my responsibilities as a company supply seargent.
This past summer I gave birth to a handsome baby boy and spent it resting and preparing for this 2014-2015 school year. Additionally, I am a mother not a only to a baby boy, but to two beautiful girls as well. My husband also is a teacher and is my rock. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, running, traveling, and reading. I also love the New York Giants and going to the movies.
Ever since I was seven years old I always wanted to be a teacher. My love for learning and helping others learn is and will forever be my passion. Education is the key to overcoming many hardships in life, and I am a living testament of that. I am so excited to have your child in my classroom. I believe every child can learn and know that I have their individual needs close at heart.
I look forward to meeting with you and getting to know you better through the year.
