I am proud and honored to be the World Language Teacher for 3rd and 4th grade at Hurden-Looker Elementary School & 2nd grade at Calvin Coolidge Elementary School. It truly is an exciting time for the Spanish language as it is becoming America's second language of choice. With the rise of the Hispanic population, it is imperative that our children learn to be able to communicate in Spanish so they might have more career opportunities as they get older.
During the course of the school year, my goal is to use the acquisition of a new language to expose the students to different art, places, and famous figures who have influnced our society. I see how the students grow when acquiring a new language and how they reap the benefits of being bilingual in their other classes. My hope is to prepare them with a new language that will serve them as a tool to grow culturally, economically, and personally as they grow older to become integral parts of our society.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding your child or the program, please don't hesistate to email me.
