I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Michele Lopes-Araujo and I am your child's Title 1 teacher. I have teaching in Hillside since 2003. I graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early/Middle Childhood Education in May of 2003. I received my Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University in May of 2006. I graduated in May of 2008 with my second Master's Degree in Administration & Supervision from Montclair State University.
I hope that this is both a rewarding experience for myself as well as the students. Please understand that I take the responsibility of educating your children very seriously. I realize that they are your most precious possessions and from the moment they enter my classroom and impact my life, they become mine also. You are the most important person in your child's life and your support and involvement is key to their success. The education of your children needs to be a partnership between parent and teacher.
