The Guidance and Counseling Program is concerned with the overall development of the whole child.


The personnel providing services are committed

to supporting each student’s personal growth

through educational program planning, self-discovery activities,

individual  goal-setting, and the student’s post-secondary planning







Graduates of HHS can simply submit a written request (including name while at HHS, date of birth, year of graduation, and address where the transcript should be mailed to) or print the Transcript Request found under the transcript link. The completed form can be faxed to HHS Guidance Department Office at (732) 751-1571 or mailed to:

Registration Information

Registration is by appointment only. Please call 732-919-2131 ext. 4033 (Ms. Dodds)  or 4051(Mrs. McDonald) to schedule an appointment. Registration takes place between 7:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. during the school year and between 8:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the summer. You will need to bring the following:

  1. Three proofs of residencey showing the address in Howell
  2. A NJ State Transfer Card (If a NJ School)
  3. The child's transcript, current report card, standardized test scores, 504 Plan (if applicable) and grades at withdrawal (if mid-year)
  4. If the student has an IEP (Individual Education Plan) you must provide this document to Guidance before the scheduled meeting.
  5. Immunization Record
  6. Birth Certificate
  7. The student.


Parents can also download the Request for Records Form in the Registration link and give it to your child's Guidance Office to have records sent to Howell High School prior to registration.
