The focus for the week will be:
Theme 8: Amazing Critters
Week 4: Scaling and Slithering Critters
Wonderful Word of the Week: slither
Literacy Focus: syllable/sentence segmentation, rhyme awareness, alliteration
Letter Recognition: Ss, Cc, Ii, Ll, Ww
We will look for letters in our morning message. We will be reviewing letters and sounds this week. We will discuss initial sounds in all of the letters learned during the year. We will continue to identify rhyming pairs and syllables a during our Heggerty lesson.
Math: We will continue to review numbers and quantity. We will introduce number 8. We will practice rote counting to 10. We will review shapes. We will practice tracing shapes.
