Welcome back! We hope you have enjoyed your Mardi Gras break. The focus for the week will be:
Theme 6: Creative Me
Week 3: Experimenting
Wonderful Word of the Week: predict
Literacy Focus: syllable segmentation, rhyme awareness, alliteration
Letter Recognition: Ee Gg Aa Pp Ii
We will look for letters in our morning message.
We will continue to identify rhyming pairs in our read-aloud selections. We will also discuss initial phonemes in the letters of the week as well as discuss words that begin with the same beginning sounds using our ABC sound buckets. We will continue to practice writing the letters in our name. We will also practice tracing the letters of the week.
Math: We will continue to discuss one to one correspondence. This week we will review numbers 1-5 and make a group to match.
