Theme 7: On the Go
Week 2: Wheels
Wonderful Word of the Week: axle
Literacy Focus: syllable segmentation, rhyme awareness, alliteration
Letter Recognition: Jj, Mm, Nn, Hh, Xx
We will look for letters in our morning message.
We will continue to identify rhyming pairs during our Heggerty lesson. We will also discuss initial phonemes in the letters of the week as well as discuss words that begin with the same beginning sounds. We will continue to practice writing the letters in our name. We will also practice tracing the letters of the week.
We will also review colors this week using our transportation vehicles.
Math: We will discuss ordinal numbers. We will practice rote counting up to 10. We will continue to review numbers 1-5 and making a group to match.
