Welcome parents to Arthur F. Smith Middle School!
I am excited to be a Master Teacher here at Arthur F. Smith Middle School. My aim is to provide an environment that fosters and nurtures a life-long love of improving teaching methods through cooperative learning and collaborative efforts with the teachers at our great school and in our district. We are a Best Practice Center (BPC) that follows the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) model. The TAP model is based in research and allows for implementation of specific needs of teachers (targeted needs) with an emphasis on impacting student learning.
As many of you are aware, the new school year has brought about many changes to school community zone, student classes and schedules. We are specifically a 7th/8th grade community zone school. I hope to provide your child and our teachers with the necessary tools and skills required for the next level in education. I look forward to working with teachers, students, parents, and community members to help make the 2018-2019 school year a successful and learning filled year.
