First grading period:
In our 6th grade math/science class, we will cover six units for each subject. Students need to be working on Chapter 14 foldables on all lessons due on May 13, 2016. On Wednesday May 11 they will have a close reading. This week students are learning about how to find the Median and the mode of data.. If students are absent, it will be the student's responsibility to make up their work. All math questions will be answered in sentence form, which will allow the students to explain the steps they used in solving the problem. Many of the Math/Science questions on the test will ask a variety of questions that the students must analyze and respond. It is very important that the students complete their "Ticket out the Door" for homwork and rework any problems that they miss on their test and classwork. I will also include graphs, pictures, and charts on the test. I send all the test back each week for parents to sign.
I will also review for their LEAP 2025 weekly in Math by completing journals. I will review ILEAP for Science by completing journals also.. The students will keep a copy of their review in their journals.
