- What is a homework buddy?
A homework buddy is a friend who is in your math, reading, and homeroom classes who you can exchange home phone numbers with (as long as you have your parents' permission). Then if you're confused about a homework assignment, you can call your buddy to ask a question.
- How do I get my homework assignments if I'm absent?
Have an adult call the main office (732) 321-8777 in the morning and let one of the secretaries know that you are going to be out of school. Decide if you would like your teacher to keep your work for you until you get back or if you would like it to be sent home with a sibling or a friend. Your parents can also come and get the work from the main office at the end of the day.
- How long do I have to make up missed work?
According to your student handbook, you have as many days as you were out to make up missed work. In other words, 1 day out = 1 day to make it up.
- How do I know when a test is coming up?
All tests are announced ahead of time and a review sheet or packet is given out in class. Test dates are also listed under the homework section on Ms. Hunt's website.
- Why do I need to get a test or quiz signed by an adult?
Your teacher needs to be sure that an adult at home knows how you are doing in school.
