Dear Parents and Students,

I hope you had a fun, healthy, and relaxing summer! The first day of school is just a few days away and I am excited to meet you all! I am thrilled to be your child’s third grade teacher. As we begin this third-grade journey together first let me introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me.

I graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. After graduating college, I was a classroom paraprofessional in a self-contained classroom for grades 3, 4, and 5 in  Maplewood, NJ. Also, I was a one on one paraprofessional for a child with Asperger’s Syndrome. The following year I got my first teaching job as a third-grade teacher at Bergen Arts and Science Charter School in Garfield, NJ. I resided in this position for two years. Then I became a third-grade teacher here at Campbell Elementary School and this is my sixth year here. Campbell School ROCKS!

I’d like you to know that I believe in a strong parent teacher relationship and I encourage your involvement. It is vital for parents and teachers to work together to help children have a successful school year. I look forward to our positive partnership this year and I’ll see you soon!

Sincerely,

Ms. Hunt
