Thank you for showing an interest in your student's education and visiting my website! My name is Melissa Gant. I was born and raised in Slidell, La., but I've lived and taught in Walker for 12 years and consider it home, now! I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and English Education, 6-12 in 2013, as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, K-12 in 2018.
I'm an energetic teacher with a passion for teaching English Language Arts! I'm honored to be your child's 8th grade ELA teacher, and I am looking forward to a great school year. Your student will learn critical skills in reading, writing, speaking & listening, digital and non-print media, and literary studies. With your help, we can make this year a success in your student's learning experience!
