CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN:

EXPECTATIONS:

    ● Respect other students and their property at all times.

    ● Please leave gum, candy, drinks, and any food items inside book bag or outside gym.

    ● Be in your assigned area by the tardy bell. Having food in the gym during first block and any lunch blocks equals a tardy.  If you must eat, eat  outside of the gym (cafeteria) and you'll receive a tardy.  Also, if you have to be let in our top doors to enter the gym area after the tardy bell, you are tardy.  We will have student-helpers at the doors until the tardy bell rings.

    ● Stay off of the gym floor without proper footwear (athletic shoes only)

    ● Be positive and willing to learn new activities.

    ● Please if at all possible leave valuables at home.  Money, cell phones, jewelry, etc. can be easily lost or

unfortunately stolen.  We will not be responsible for items missing.  If your child must

bring something of value it MUST be locked in his/her locker at own risk.

CONSEQUENCES

** Teacher has the right to by-pass order of consequences based on the severity of the student’s behavior**

PRESENTATION OF RULES AND PROCEDURES:

During the first week of school, all rules, procedures for non-instructional activities, and consequences will be covered with all students.  Throughout various points in the year, I will review all rules and procedures again as needed according to student progress.

REWARDS

Students will be rewarded via positive phone calls/letters to parents/guardians.  I want students to enjoy Physical Education and realize that leading a physically active lifestyle can be beneficial throughout school and even later life.  Please encourage your child to be active and participate.

Again, I look forward to working with your student and keeping an open line of communication to monitor progress and success.  If there is anything I can do for your child, please contact me at Greenwood High School, (864) 941-5600.

Sincerely,
