--Welcome to Mrs. Klein's 1st grade class! I am excited to have your child in my class this year. Each day your child will come home with 2 folders. The green is their conduct folder, which should be signed daily. Each student has the opportunity to complete their own conduct daily. If they did not move their clip, they can circle 5 and put a smiley. If your child comes home and their conduct is blank, it is because they have forgotten to do it. Please ask them. The blue folder is their homework folder. The homework pocket holds their blank spelling sheet and any math lesson homework for the night. Please make sure that homework is returned on this side the following day. The empty daily pocket holds any classwork that has been completed and needs to be emptied daily to ensure that your child stays organized. There are 3 sheet protectors that hold your child's calendar and reading fluency sheet. Each Friday a new calendar and fluency sheet is inserted so that you have an overview of the following weeks homework, spelling words, math facts, upcoming skills taught and a test schedule, as well as any reminders and tips. On Wednesday's your child will come home with a yellow test paper folder. Please sign and return the folder the following day with the test papers. Your child will receive a gator buck each week for being responsible. The fastest way to communicate with me is through email during the day or by calling the front office.
