The Dover School District is accepting referrals for services in the Gifted and Talented program for the 2016-17 school year. Students currently in grades 2-11 may be referred for services by teachers, parents, family members, community members, peers, or themselves. Referral packets may be picked up at any school office or found on the district website under the tab Departments and then under the tab Gifted & Talented. These may be printed at home, filled out, and sent to any of the school offices. Students in grades 3-11, already in the GT program, do not need to re-apply. For questions about the program or the identification process, please contact Janelle Miller, GT Coordinator, at 331-2702.

Kyle's Wedding

This is my fifth year to teach in the Dover School District, but my third year to be the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for grades K-12.  I have been very blessed to be part of such a loving, caring group of teachers, staff, and administrators.  Before teaching here, I have taught special education resource in Dardanelle and a Kindergarten-1st grade combination class in North Carolina.  I come from a LONG line of teachers, and I have many teachers currently in my family.  My Grandpa Clary (my mom's dad) put the love of teaching in my heart when I was a very young child.  I have always loved to spend time with children and teach them new things.  I love the excitement in their eyes when they finally achieve a hard earned goal.  My heart's desire is to help every student realize their full potential, and instill a life-long love of growing and learning. When I'm not teaching, I'm very busy attending my children's activities.  When I'm not running my children around, I like to read, work out, travel (anywhere in the world, but I love the beach), and spend time with family and friends.

I have been married to my husband, Luke, for 19 years.  He is a wonderful man, who supports me in everything I do.  Together, with our three children we attend West Side Church of Christ.  Luke loves to fish, hunt, and he loves NASCAR.  He was born and raised in North Carolina, and NASCAR in North Carolina is like the Razorbacks in Arkansas.  Hallie, our oldest is in 11th grade.  She is definitely my helper at home.  She loves to sing, play in the band, spend time with friends, and be involved in our chirch youth group.  Nathan, our only son, is in 10th grade.  He loves to fish, hunt, read, and loves to play video games.  Gracie, our youngest, is in 8th grade.  She loves to help in my classroom (a teacher in training), run, design houses and decorating rooms, and she likes cars like her daddy.
