Ms. Green

Hello! Welcome to my classroom! My name is Sydney Green. I am super excited to spend this school year with you all. It is my pleasure to introduce myself as your (student’s) Social Studies instructor.

A little bit about me you ask?

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I attended Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana where I received my Bachelors of Art in Elementary Education. Why did I want to be a teacher? Teachers are the most important influencers after a person’s family, and in many cases teachers are the only positive influencers a child may ever encounter. Like Malcolm X said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” I have prepared for who I am today by having guidance and that is why I ultimately want to become the guider of the younger generation—their passport, sort to speak. I am a teacher because I know the influence that a teacher can have on every student that walks into her classroom. It is my goal to become the best educator I can be, a vessel to make a positive impact on the lives of children, which will help influence them as they forge toward a higher education.
‚ÄčI am “The Influenced Growing Into an Influencer.”

Lake Forest Charter School recognizes the importance of homework as part of the educational process. Homework posted on the website is as current as practically possible. Assignments are subject to revision based on student mastery of objectives taught in the classroom, and serves as a weekly guide for students and parents.  Students' agendas will continue to serve as the main source for home learning assignments.  As such, parents must check student agendas in an effort to obtain the most current daily assignments.

P.S. LFC recommends that you supervise and monitor your child’s internet activities at all times.
