We understand the growing concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19) across our communities. As your community support we want to support you as best we can through these difficult times. Your health and social and emotional well being is important. We urge you to follow these CDC guidelines for best preventive practices:

Nurses, social workers, and guidance counselors will continue meeting the needs of our students to address any and all social-emotional needs through the updating of their websites to provide resources to students. Additionally, staff will be available to students via email for personalized support during regular school hours, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. In some circumstances, social workers and guidance counselors may need to provide student support via phone conference. If at any time you need emergency support, you should call 911 immediately.
Additionally, if your child is asking questions or demonstrating some concerns about the current life events, here are some online resources to help you connect with your child in a meaningful way to help them understand and cope.

I currently work with students in grades K-6 on developing skills to help them cope with concerns they may face that effects the student in the school setting. Individualized services may include short & long term individual & group counseling. Working with the School Social Worker helps students learn more about feelings, making good and safe choices, and getting along with others.
Services are available to students through parental or teacher referral. Students can also request to speak with me if he/she feels they may need someone to talk with. I am also available to consult and talk with school staff and parents about various topics, and to provide resources and/or referrals if needed. Please contact me if you feel I may be able to help.
