Hi,
My name is Dr. October Hudley and I am the Library Media Specialist. I am a resident of Irvington for over 40 years. I attended Grove Street School as a student. I also attended Myrtle Ave School and Irvington High School. I received my BS from Winston- Salem State University. I received my Masters in Educational Technology, Supervisors Certification and Certification as a Library Media Specialist from New Jersey City University. I was the first African American to graduate from the Education Department at New Jersey City University in the Educational Technology Leadership Doctorial Program. I also have a Smartboard Certification. I have 2 children. I enjoy working with the administrators, staff, students, parents and the community. I also serve as the Councilwoman At-Large for the wonderful township of Irvington, New Jersey. Collaboratively, we can work together to help the children reach high expectations and equipped them with the tools they will need once they become adults. My mission is to be a positive role model for my students and set an example to show therm no matter where you live, as long as you work hard, treat people right, keep the faith, and never give up, you can accomplish your goals and your dreams.
