My name is Mr. La Pierre and I am honored to be your child's Reading and Writing teacher.  I have been a 4th grade teacher at  Thurgood Marshall for the past 13 years. 

 

 

My goal this year is to create a learning atmosphere where children will enjoy reading and writing. We will explore reading fiction and non-fiction selections. Students will also develop their writing craft through narrative and essay writing. This year your children will use technology to publish their writing. 

 

 

I am always available for conferences and questions.  I am looking forward to working together with you and your child to have a productive and successful school year.
