 Welcome!

Hello, my name is Jenny Perez. I have been working in the WNY School District since 2005. I have worked as a substitute, para-professional and now a teacher.   I also tutor students, coach/ referee all sports in our intramurual sports program.  I am a Supervisor for the WNY Recreation Department. Within these years, along with my college education, I've gained great knowledge about the responsibilities of an educator. I worked many years assisting special needs students and realized there is more than textbook education needed to educate any child. I am currently teaching an innovative, activity packed Adaptive PE class. This class is designed for our students with special needs. Our students are provided an opportunity to expand their capablities. In this safe environment, we use instructional designed lesson plans specifically (not limited) to improve their movements and cognitive awareness. Student's ability levels are carefully monitored, accommadated and assessed to measure student progress in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The activities are also designed to allow students to build on previously learned lifetime skills and content.  Overall, all my Physical Education and Health classes will continue to target and focus on key elements needed to live a healthy lifestyle. I also provide activities intended to challenge students and help improve their test scores. The students are encouraged to remain on task by using positive reinforcements and praise. The true reward is being a witness to the excitement of a student successfully completing a task.
